Guitar chord diagrams are visual representation of guitar fretboard laid out vertically as if you are looking at it straight on. The six lines representing each of the guitar strings from left, which is the thickest string (Low E), to right, which is the thinnest string (High E). Most of the times you will find numbers in the diagram, which represents the left-hand or fretting hand fingers. But sometimes, they can be represented by intervals or notations. Rarely you will come across a diagram which does not have any of these.
